Xbox Series X games must be installed to the console’s internal hard drive or an officially licensed 1 TB Storage Expansion Card for Xbox Series X costing $219.99. The PlayStation 5 will at some point allow users to install an NVMe SSD to expand the PS5’s storage, but it’s not supported at launch. Although Treyarch and Activision have not provided specifications for what that requires, it’s believed that Warzone plus Black Ops Cold War would need 200 GB in all. The download list does not include Call of Duty: Warzone. Raytracing data needs 11.8 GB of drive space. The package of high-definition (that is, 4K-supported) textures is larger than the game’s multiplayer mode, 38.2 GB to 27.6 GB.
A pop up should open asking you if you want to download additional content. Go to Settings -> Storage -> Games -> and select the three dots next to Cold War.

Players can selectively install only the modes they want to play, but only after installing the entire game. It clocks in at more than 50 GB above what Activision and Treyarch told players to expect one week ago. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - the latest game in a franchise infamous for eye-popping download sizes - takes up 187.9 GB on the Xbox Series X’s hard drive for those who install all of the game’s components.
